Day 2 in the Alps started with yet another perfect weather day - we packed up camp and headed down to Refuge Bonatti for a morning coffee, then set off along the UTMB race route to Refuge Elana, where it was time for lunch... then up to the Grand Col Ferret (great training with the heavy packs!). Instead of heading down the UTMB route to La Fouly (where we camped that night), we decided to go over la Dotse and descend via it's N slopes.
It was nice to meet you and Ian at last, great photos and well done on a great performance at the Ben race on Sat.
